Alison began her professional career at a capital markets software company. As a member of the marketing team, she learned the importance of clear communication in the financial space and developed a knack for breaking down complex financial jargon.
After returning to academia to complete her Master’s degree, Alison moved to Brussels and began a Blue Book traineeship in the Cabinet of Commissioner Mairead McGuinness. She then joined the Directorate-General for Financial Stability, Financial Services and Capital Markets Union (DG FISMA) at the European Commission as a speechwriter.
Alison graduated from Trinity College Dublin with a Bachelor’s degree in Economics and Political Science. During her undergraduate studies, she attended Sciences Po Paris on Erasmus. She holds a Master’s in Political Communication from the University of Amsterdam, as well as a Certificate in Professional Marketing from the Chartered Institute of Marketing.
