As Executive Director, Anne was in charge of the management of the Secretariat and the implementation of its work programme and projects. She is currently Consumer Affairs and Financial Services Consultant.
Prior to joining Finance Watch, Anne Fily was a consultant in retail financial services and consumer protection for three years, in particular for BEUC, the European Consumer Organisation. She also chaired the European Financial Inclusion Network (EFIN) and co-chaired the Financial Services Committee of the Trans-Atlantic Consumer Dialogue (TACD). She was also member of the board of Finance Watch, and of the Financial Services User Group set up by the European Commission. Since 2015, she has been a member of the European Banking Authority Stakeholder Group.
Anne Fily held the position of Director of the Legal and Economic Department of BEUC between 2008 and 2015. Prior to her tenure at BEUC, Anne Fily worked for four years at the European Commission (DG SANCO) and previously for 18 years at the DGCCRF – the French authority in charge of competition and consumer affairs – where she held responsibilities for several positions.
Anne Fily is a graduate of the University of Rennes I and of the University of Paris VI.
