Patricia Suárez was elected as a Board member of Finance Watch in June 2020, representing ASUFIN. She was elected as Vice-Chair of the Board of Directors in October 2022.
Patricia holds a degree in German and English Philology. She has dedicated the last 10 years of her life to the defense of financial users in its 3 aspects (banking, investment and insurance).
Since the end of 2017, she has been focusing on consumers’ financial education, especially regarding sustainable finance and Fintech.
She is an activist and expert in the rights of financial users. Patricia is therefore also known as “Wonder Woman”.
She is also :
- Consumer representative of the European Banking Stakeholders Group (BSG V) at EBA since 2020.
- Member of the Consultative Working Group (CWG) of the ESMA’s Investor Protection and Intermediaries Standing Committee (IPISC) since 2022.
