The career of Stuart Stamp can be broadly divided into 3 parts:
- Money/Debt Adviser with not-for profit centres in UK and Ireland (1984-1996)
- Support and Trainer for (rights-based) Money/Debt Advisers in Ireland (1996-2008)
- Independent Researcher and Policy Analyst on debt/financial exclusion issues (2008 to date)
Stuart Stamp Social research focuses on various aspects of personal over-indebtedness and financial exclusion from a human rights/equality perspective. He is currently doing research into the extent, nature and policy implications of illegal money lending in Ireland. He has just completed a study on energy poverty among the most marginalised of Irish communities, namely Travellers.
