Vassiliki Yiatrou

Vasiliki Yiatrou is a 4th year Phd researcher at the European University Institute. Her research focuses on the intersection between Prudential Financial Regulation and Private Laws, including consumer protection and insolvency laws. Since 2022, Vasiliki has been a member of the Financial Services User Group at the European Commission. She is a qualified legal practitioner. Between 2012 and 2019, she worked as a litigation lawyer in Cyprus, specialising in financial consumer protection.  Vasiliki holds an LLB (first class) from the University of Southampton and an LLM (with distinction) from King’s College of London.
